 Are you in need of a sign language interpreter or auxiliary aid service to participate in a City program, service, or activity? The City of Miami provides appropriate aids and services leading to effective communication for qualified individuals with a disability.

NOTE: Requests made less than 72 hours in advance of the service request date cannot be guaranteed.

When appropriate/necessary, the city will provide qualified sign language interpreters, auxiliary aids, documents in Braille, and other ways of making information and communications accessible to people who have speech, hearing, or vision impairments. 

Determine if the Event or Program Qualifies for this Service.

The City of Miami offers services, programs and activities for applicants, employees, residents, and visitors. City of Miami services, programs, and activities are considered one or more of the following:

  • Operated by City of Miami employees.
  • Operated by appointed or elected City of Miami officials.
  • Operated by an entity hired by the City of Miami.
  • Funded by the City.

NOTE: These services, programs, and activities do not include events or activities that are performed on City property by private organizations, businesses, or individuals.
