COVID-19 General Information and ARPA Relief Funds
Do you need to update, change, or add a contractor to your building permit? This may apply to an application in-progress or a pulled permit.
NOTE: This process is also how you add a specialist for sub-permits (i.e. electrical, plumbing, etc.).
This task can only be done once a building permit application has been initiated and/or approved, so you should already have a process number for your project.
You need to access iBuild to complete this process. If you don't already have an account, you will have to create one.
Once in iBuild, select 'Manage Application' and select Add/Update Contractor (GC, subs like electricians, etc.). You will need your contractor's company + qualifier license number, as they have to be registered to do work in the City of Miami.
Once your request is submitted, you will see a resulting pdf. You will need to print this, sign it, and get it notarized.
Once notarized, the document should be uploaded to your project in ePlan - select the 'documents' folder.
If this process is done after your permit was issued, you will receive an invoice for this transaction.
If this contractor change/addition is approved, it will be reflected in iBuild application.
