Solid Waste to Close on Christmas Day

(Miami, FL December 20, 2019) – The City of Miami Department of Solid Waste will be closed in observance of Christmas Day – Wednesday, December 25. All garbage, recycling and bulky trash services will resume normal operations on Thursday, December 26.
Residents who are scheduled to receive recycling services on Wednesday, December 25 are being provided an alternate recycling pickup on Monday, December 23.
City of Miami residents who receive garbage, recycling and bulky trash services are reminded to place their items in front of their homes five feet away from all objects in the public right of way the evening before collection day.
Additionally, the City’s Mini Dump facility will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 24 and will be closed on Wednesday, December 25. Proof of Miami residency is required.
