City Expands Eligibility for COVID-19 Testing
Published on March 31, 2020
The City of Miami has loosened age requirements for its drive-through COVID-19 testing at Charles Hadley Park and for its in-home testing service for homebound residents. Both testing services are now open to City of Miami residents ages 45 and older who are experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19. Testing was previously for residents age 65 and over.
Testing is by appointment only and residents who meet the basic criteria must call the City's testing call center at 305-960-5050 to request an appointment. The Charles Hadley Park drive-through testing site is located at 1350 NW 50th St., Miami, FL 33142. In-home testing for homebound residents who have no access to transportation is provided by City of Miami Department of Fire-Rescue personnel.
Again, the following requirements must be met in order to request an appointment:
- Must be a City of Miami resident
- Must be age 45 or older
- Must be experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19
- For in-home service, must be homebound with no access to transportation
