Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day!
Published on April 17, 2020
Wednesday, April 22, 2020, marks the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day, which played a big part in launching the modern environmental movement in the United States.
Instead of the City’s usual Earth and Arbor Day celebrations in local City of Miami parks, this year we’re sharing some great at-home opportunities to reflect on our impact on the environment and learn how to take action. These are being offered by the City’s nonprofit, university and municipal partners.
We hope you will join us and spend next week getting inspired to live, work, play and move in ways that improve our quality of life and our relationship with nature.
Happy Earth Day, Miami!
