The deadline to take the 2020 Census has been extended to Thursday, October 15. Miamians who have not yet completed their census form are urged to do so now. Filling out the form takes just 5 minutes, but will help determine how much federal funding Miami will receive for the next 10 years.

Every year, the federal government issues billions of dollars in funding to cities across America to support local hospitals, fire departments, schools, road projects, and more. The more Miamians participate in the Census, the more likely the City of Miami is to receive the maximum amount of federal funds for these important local initiatives.

If you are filling out the Census for your household, everyone who has been living there as of April 1, 2020 should count. This includes everyone - related or unrelated to you - who lives and sleeps at your home most of the time.

Your data is kept safe and your answers cannot be used against you by any federal agency or court.
