This Thursday, January 23, City of Miami leaders and resilience staff will publicly unveil the City's new "Miami Forever Climate Ready" strategy to build a stronger, more-resilient and sustainable future for Miami.

The rollout will start with a public breakfast on the second-floor balcony of City Hall overlooking Biscayne Bay, with remarks from City leadership. This will be followed by a special presentation to the Commission by Chief Resilience Officer, Jane Gilbert, at the beginning of Thursday's scheduled City Commission meeting.

The "Miami Forever Climate Ready" strategy, which has been spearheaded by the City's Office of Resilience & Sustainability, focuses on five goal areas that will help Miami achieve resilience to the impacts of a changing climate including: strengthening Miami's waterfront, adapting neighborhoods and buildings and developing resilient, smart public infrastructure.
