Accelerate Change Together Focus Groups Invite Community Participation

The City of Miami, in collaboration with Urban Health Partnerships, is launching the Accelerate Change Together project, a LGBTQIA+ SDoH Accelerator Plan focused on addressing health inequities in the LGBTQIA+ community. Supported by the CDC, this initiative seeks to strengthen the community's capacity to collaboratively plan and carry out strategies to close the Social Determinants of Health equity gap, thereby improving the health of the LGBTQIA+ community in the City of Miami.

As part of this project, the City of Miami's LGBTQIA+ Advisory Board is inviting community members to share their perspectives on how the City should address health disparities impacting the LGBTQIA+ community. This feedback will help develop policy, systems, and environmental change recommendations.

Two focus group meetings will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 (LGBTQIA+ focus) and Thursday, April 20, 2023 (Transgender focus) from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm in the Downtown Miami area. Registration is required to attend.  Dinner and Spanish interpretation will be provided during both meetings.
