The City of Miami has set up a voluntary gun buyback program to assist in providing safety and defense equipment to Ukraine.

Your donations will be used to assist the Ukraine support efforts. Receive a gift card starting at $50 for an old, unused, or found weapons, no questions asked. Do your part to make our streets safer. Visa Gift Cards will be exchanged for the weapons in the following amounts:

  • $50 Firearm
  • $100 Shotgun or Rifle
  • $150 High-powered assault rifle (.223 Caliber, AR-15, AK-47)

UCCA is a 501(c)(3) Not-for-Profit organization. All donations to Ukraine Congress Committee of America (UCCA) are tax deductible and can be submitted online. You can also donate directly to the cause.                                                                     

Frequently asked questions

Why should I turn in my gun?  Turning in an undesired gun is a great way to take guns off the streets by preventing the potential of them falling into the wrong hands. Turning in a gun during the gun buyback the provides safety and security of knowing that the weapon will be properly disposed of or reallocated for use in support of Ukraine. It is also a great way to show your support in the fight against gun violence. 

What if I cannot make it to the scheduled gun buy back? If your unable to make it to the next scheduled gun buyback, contact www.guns@miamigov.com for the next scheduled buyback date or to arrange a time to bring the weapon to Miami Police Department 400 N.W. 2nd Avenue. Miami, Fl 33128

What do I need when I turn in my gun? No identification is necessary. Ensure the weapon is made safe prior to arrival. If you are unsure of how to safely make the weapon safe simply secure the weapon and bring it to our site where a trained professional will retrieve and remove any ammunition.

Where is my donation going? Your donation will be made to the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA.org), the largest umbrella organization representing the interests of nearly 2 million Ukrainian Americans, and has been addressing these humanitarian challenges with direct aid delivered to Ukraine.
