Pablo Velez  

On July 14, 2014, Mr. Velez joined the City of Miami Office of the City Attorney and is presently a Senior Assistant City Attorney assigned to the Real Estate and Transactions Division. Mr. Velez handles a wide array of items, inclusive of construction, real estate, and legislative related matters and is currently the principal attorney addressing the City’s day-to-day procurement related transactions. In April 2008, Mr. Velez initially started with the City of Miami as a Supervisor and Certified Public Procurement Buyer for the City’s Procurement Department and was serving as the Interim Procurement Director prior to joining the Office of the City Attorney. During this time with the Office of the City Attorney, Mr. Velez has also served as the board attorney for the Miami Parking Authority, the Miami Sports & Entertainment Council, the Mayor’s International Council, the Liberty City Revitalization Trust, the Little Haiti Revitalization Trust, the LGBTQ Board, the Stars of Calle Ocho Board, the Miami Arts and Entertainment Council and is currently assigned to the Art in Public Places Board. Preceding his tenure with the City, Mr. Velez handled corporate, business, real estate, and condominium law matters while in private practice
