Mr. Jones joined the Office of the City Attorney in June 2006. He currently serves as the Deputy City Attorney over the Litigation and Appeals Division. Prior to his most recent appointment, Mr. Jones served as the Division Chief for the Labor and Employment Division where he handles litigation in State and Federal courts in the areas of employment law. Mr. Jones also represents the City in arbitrations and in collective bargaining matters. Before joining the Office of the City Attorney, Mr. Jones was in private practice and handled both civil and criminal cases in State and Federal courts. Prior to private practice, Mr. Jones was an Assistant State Attorney for the Miami-Dade County State Attorney's Office where he served as a member of the Violent Career Criminal Unit specializing in the prosecution of violent repeat offenders.
