Federal regulations governing CDBG and other HUD programs require that a participating jurisdiction provide citizens with reasonable notice of and an opportunity to comment on any new allocation and/ or amendment of HUD programs. In addition, the public is advised of the proposed new allocation(s)/ amendment(s) to the funding of the City program(s) as indicated below* ^†

Discuss and propose resolution authorizing a grant extension of time for economic development activities between the City of Miami and South Florida Progress Foundation, Inc. for six (6) additional months from June 30, 2019 to December 30, 2019.
Discuss and propose resolution authorizing the acceptance of Florida State Housing Opportunity for Persons with AIDS (“HOPWA”) program funding, in an amount not to exceed $947,477.60 for program year 2019-2020 for the purpose of implementing programs that help sustain or transition individuals and families to stable housing.
Discuss and proposed resolution authorizing the allocation of Florida State Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (“HOPWA”) program funds in an amount not to exceed $947,477.60 for program year 2019-2020 to the agencies/department as described below:

4. Discuss and propose resolution authorizing the sale of certain vacant real estate properties located in the City of North Miami, Florida to KB Financial Group, LLC (“KB”) for a total amount of $825,000.00 for the development of Affordable Housing projects with six (6) units set aside to be used for persons with AIDS.

* The adoption of an Ordinance or Resolution, by the City Commission, related to the proposed amendment(s), authorized the City Manager to draft/amend the appropriate City of Miami Annual Action Plan.

† This item(s) will be available for public comment and review for a period of no less than 30 days. The review and comment period begins Tuesday, August 27, 2019 and ends on Wednesday, September 25, 2019. The proposed amendment(s) will be presented to City Commission for approval on Thursday, September 26, 2019 (public hearing).

‡ Draft copies will be available at the City of Miami Department of Housing and Community Development office located at 14 NE 1 Avenue, 2nd floor, Miami, Florida, 33132.
