In addition, the public is advised of the proposed new allocation(s)/ amendment(s) to the funding of the City program(s) as indicated below: * † ‡

  1. Discuss and proposed resolution authorizing the allocation of Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) Public Service funds in the amount of $808,454.10 and the amount of $123,002.78 from previous year program income for a total amount of $931,456.88 in the Public Service Category for Public Service activities in the program year 2019- 2020 beginning October 1, 2019. (MOVED TO CC MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 12, 2019) 
  2.  Discuss and proposed resolution authorizing the allocation of Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) funds in the amount of $3,103,301.10 in the Economic Development category for Economic Development activities in the program year 2019-2020 beginning October 1, 2019. (MOVED TO CC MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 12, 2019)
  3. Discuss and proposed resolution approving the transfer of Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) administration funds and Housing Opportunity for Person with Aids (“HOPWA”) program delivery funds to Allapattah Business Development Authority, Inc. (“ABDA”) and Sunshine for All, Inc. in the total amount of $100,000.00 for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 program years to provide Housing Quality Standard Inspection service for the City of Miami’s Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher and Moderate Rehabilitation program and Housing Opportunity for Persons with Aids program.
  4. Discuss and proposed resolution to grant an extension of time for the 2017-2018 Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) agreements for the Micro-Enterprise program recipients for six (6) additional months.
  5. Discuss and proposed resolution approving the Single Family Code Compliance Elderly Loan Assistance Pilot program, authorizing the allocation of $500,000.00 grant funds from District 1 Commissioner’s Share of the City’s Anti-Poverty Initiative to asssit the City of Miami Elderly Homeowners to correct outstanding compliance violations in their properties. 

 

* The adoption of an Ordinance or Resolution by the City Commission, related to the proposed funding recommendation(s)/ amendment(s), authorizes the City Manager to draft/amend the appropriate City of Miami Action Plan.

† This item(s) will be available for public comment and review for a period of no less than 30 days. The review and comment period begins, Tuesday, June 25, 2019 and ends Wednesday, July 24, 2019. The proposed funding recommendation(s)/amendment(s) will be presented to City Commission for approval on Thursday, July 25, 2019 (public hearing).
