Federal regulations governing CDBG and other HUD programs require that a participating jurisdiction provide citizens with reasonable notice of and an opportunity to comment on any new allocation and/ or amendment of HUD programs.  In addition, the public is advised of the new allocation(s)/ amendment(s) to the funding of the city program(s) as indicated below: *

  1. Discuss and proposed resolution authorizing the allocation of CDBG funds in the Public Service category, in the amount of $817,619.10, and previous year’s CDBG program income in the amount of $33,126.35 for a total amount not to exceed $850,745.45 to the agencies and/or departments, as specified below for public service activities for FY2022-23.

† † This item(s) will be available for public comment and review for a period of no less than 30 days. The review and comment period begin on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, and ends on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. The proposed amendment(s) will be presented to the City Commission for approval on Thursday, October 13, 2022. Draft copies of the agenda items will be available at the City of Miami Department of Housing and Community Development office located at 14 NE 1 Avenue, 2 Floor, Miami, FL 33132 (HCD Address).  Comments to amendment(s) must be submitted to: nancyromani@miamigov.com, Attn: Nancy Romani, and must be received no later than October 12, 2022.
