PUBLIC NOTICE AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED CITY OF MIAMI
ANNUAL ACTION PLAN FY2021
Thursday, July 22, 2021, at 9:00 A.M.

As per the Code of Federal Regulations 24 CFR 91.200, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires entitlement communities that receive funds under its grant programs to prepare an annual Action Plan, which detail proposed activities to maximize the benefits of federal funding for low-income residents and to provide citizens with reasonable notice of and an opportunity to comment on any new allocation and/or amendment of HUD programs. The City of Miami is required to report annually to HUD on projects funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG); Home Investment Partnership (HOME); Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS (HOPWA) programs. 

The City of Miami Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) has completed drafts of its annual Action Plan (AP) FY2021, The AP will be available for review and comment for a period of no less than 3 days in accordance with HUD waiver for Citizen Participation Public Comment Period for FY2021. The review and comment period for the AP begins on July 12, 2021 and ends on July 22, 2021. The HCD will present the AP to City Commission on a Public Hearing that will take place on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. for AP approval and authorization to submit it to HUD. The Public Hearing will provide the public an opportunity to comment on the AP that will take place at 3500 Pan American Dr. Miami, FL 33133.These hearings will be broadcast live for members of the public to view onMiami TV,YouTubeor Comcast Channel 77 (closed-captioned, within the City of Miami). 

The public is hereby advised of the new allocations to the funding of City programs. The following are the allocations of Federal Funds for the Annual Action Plan FY2021: CDBG $5,689,241; HOME $3,509,757; ESG $475,732; HOPWA $11,924,914.

Comments to annual Action Plan FY2021 shall be submitted in writing and received prior to July 22, 2021, via email to rtazoe@miamigov.com, or mailed to 14 NE 1st Avenue, 2nd Floor, Miami FL 33132, Attn: Roberto Tazoe. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend the Public Hearing. The meeting site is accessible to the handicapped. Requests for special accommodations may be directed at 305-416-2080 no later than three (3) business days prior to the Public Hearing date.
