Federal regulations governing CDBG and other HUD programs require that a participating jurisdiction provide citizens with reasonable notice of and an opportunity to comment on any new allocation and/ or amendment of HUD programs.  In addition, the public is advised of the proposed new allocation(s)/ amendment(s) to the funding of the City program(s) as indicated below*

  1. Discussion and proposed resolution authorizing the allocation of fiscal year 2019-2020 of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds in the amount of $808,454.10 and the amount of $123,002.78 from previous year program income for a total amount of $931,456.88 in the Public Service category to agencies specified below.

4. Discuss and proposed resolution authorizing the extension of time for the 2016-2017 Community Development Block Grant Public Facility and Improvements agreement between the City of Miami and Martin Luther King Economic Development Corporation (“MLK”) for eighteen (18) additional months from June 30, 2019 to December 30, 2020

5. Discuss and proposed resolution authorizing the acceptance of State Housing Initiatives Partnership (“SHIP”) funds in the total amount of $405,989.00 for fiscal year 2019-2020 for the strategies under the current SHIP Local Housing Assistant Plan (“LHAP”)

6. Discuss and proposed resolution authorizing the allocation of program income from Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) funds generated from February 1, 2019 to June 30, 2019 in the amount $387.054.00

7. Discuss and proposed resolution authorizing the allocation of program income from HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP (“HOME”) funds generated from February 1, 2019 to June 30, 2019 in the amount of $325,480.82

The adoption of an Ordinance or Resolution, by the City Commission, related to the proposed amendment(s), authorized the City

Manager to draft/amend the appropriate City of Miami Annual Action Plan.

 

† This item(s) will be available for public comment and review for a period of no less than 30 days. The review and comment period begins Tuesday, August 13, 2019 and ends on Wednesday, September 11, 2019. The proposed amendment(s) will be presented to City Commission for approval on Thursday, September 12, 2019 (public hearing).
