City of Miami – Department of Housing and Community Development
Public Notice of three upcoming Public Hearings for
the City of Miami Consolidated Plan 2024-2028 and 
Annual Action Plan for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 for US HUD  

City of Miami residents are encouraged to participate in the Public Hearings (PH) being held at several locations to discuss community needs, as well as the activities to address those needs, as defined and funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This includes Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds for the City’s next, Five-Year Consolidated Plan 2024-2028 (October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2029) along with its next Annual Action Plan for Fiscal Year 2024-25, which runs from October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025. These public hearings are designed to identify the needs of residents and establish priorities for federally funded activities. The dates, times, and locations of these public hearings are as follows:

CDBG/HOME/ESG/HOPWA Public Hearings

Discuss community needs and establish priorities for following programs for FY2024 – Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA).

I.          Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 5:30 PM

 HOPWA-Only Public Hearing

Discuss the affected community needs and help establish priorities for the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA).

The meetings noted will be recorded (audio). Staff from the City’s Department of Housing & Community Development (HCD) will lead the meetings. Two or more Commissioners of the City, or members of their staff, may attend and participate at these Public Hearings.

Members of the public can leave public comments utilizing one or more of the following methods:

Note: All comment submissions must include the person’s full name, address, and contact information.

Several weeks after the meetings, draft Consolidated Plan and Action Plan documents will be advertised and issued for a 30-day comment period. Additional comments on the drafted documents can be provided at that time. Ultimately the documents will be taken to the City of Miami Commission for final approval before being submitted to the US Department of Housing & Urban Development (US HUD).
