Chair Sutton asked if there were any revisions to the Agenda.  Hearing none, a motion to adopt the Agenda as printed was considered and resulted as follows:

A motion was entered to approve the Minutes as presented, which resulted as follows:

Copy of a memorandum from Interim Chief of Police Manuel A. Morales, Department of Police, requesting an extension of probationary period of Taneshia Clinch, Emergency Dispatcher Assistant, for six (6) additional months beyond March 13, 2022. (DISCUSSION)

Following an appearance by the employee, the Board entered a motion to GRANT the extension as requested, which resulted as follows:

Appeal Hearing on behalf of Jermaine Douglas, Police Lieutenant, concerning his 10-hour suspension, effective January 23, 2021.

Chair Sutton called for the hearing of Jermaine Douglas, Police Lieutenant. Griska Mena, Staff Counsel, MCPBA, appeared before the Board on behalf of her client. Adanna Ferguson, Assistant City Attorney, appeared on behalf of the Department.

Following a break, ACA Ferguson advised the Board that the Department has rescinded the 10-hour suspension and reduced the discipline to a Reprimand only. ACA Ferguson advised that she will follow-up and forward the required documentation to the Board; and upon receipt, this matter will be removed from the Board’s docket.

Appeal Hearing on behalf of Jorge Loo, Police Officer, concerning his 10-hour suspension, effective July 14, 2020.

Chair Sutton called for the hearing of Jorge Loo, Police Officer. Officer Loo appeared before the Board, requesting a continuance. Adanna Ferguson, Assistant City Attorney, expressed no objection. Following discussion, the Board granted a continuance, which resulted as follows:

Motion by Board Member Garcia, seconded by Board Member Jimenez, that this matter be Approved, passed by the following vote:

There being no further business before the Board, a motion was entered to adjourn the meeting at 10:33 am, which resulted as follows:
