Mortgages/Foreclosure

The State of Florida recently announced the Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF), established by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, created to prevent mortgage delinquencies and defaults, foreclosures, loss of utilities or home energy services, and displacement of homeowners experiencing financial hardship after January 21, 2020. This new program is set to be managed and operated by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) on behalf of the State of Florida, starting sometime in the late fall of 2021.
