**MIAMI 21 CODE GOES IN TO AFFECT ON THURSDAY, MAY 20, 2010.** Read Official Bulletin

The City of Miami Office of Zoning provides policy guidance for the future development of the City of Miami by interpreting and administering the Zoning Ordinance and other City, County, State, and Federal regulations pertaining to the land development regulations for the construction of buildings in the review of building plans. The Section also issues Certificates of Use, Class I Special Permits and approves Alcohol and Tobacco applications.

Miami 21

On October 22, 2009, the Miami City Commission adopted the Miami 21 Code. Miami 21 consists of a new zoning code for the entire City of Miami that is scheduled to go into effect on May 20, 2010.

In order to ensure that adequate zoning information is available for development activity that is proceeding under the prior zoning code, this website will continue to offer links to both Zoning Ordinance 11000 and the newly adopted Miami 21 Code.
