site of the Office of Grants Administration (OGA)
The election of Mayor Manny Diaz in November
2001 brought great change to the City of Miami
in the form of a re-engineering effort. The
Office Grants, for example, is now a City
department directly reporting to the City
Manager. One of the primary goals for the
re-organization of the City’s grant effort was
to centralize all grant requests in order to
maximize resources and focus toward City
priorities.
Please know that OGA is an internal service
department and our primary customers are City
departments and entities. Our goal is to help
the City gain and manage additional resources
that will undoubtedly have a positive effect on
the quality of life of our residents. We also
continue to partner with local community and
faith based organizations whose objectives align
with the City’s. We strive for excellent
service, uncompromising pursuit of resources and
diligent oversight of grant awards. If you feel

assistance that you feel you are entitled to, I
