West Flagler (formerly
West Little Havana) is
the newest NET office in
the City of Miami. Its
newly identified
boundaries are as
follows: SW 22nd Avenue
to the East, NW 7th
Avenue to the North, SW
57th Avenue to the West,
and SW 16th Street to
the South.
Located at 4343 West
Flagler Street, the West
Flagler office is
currently the most
western outpost of the
City of Miami. That
said, it is the mission
of West Flagler NET to
bring the City closer to
these residents of
Miami.
The West Flagler NET
area is primarily
residential, with a mix
of single family homes,
and low rise
multi-family buildings.
Recently, this area has
begun to enjoy some of
the benefits of the real
estate development going
on throughout the city
with some new
condominiums going up
along Le Jeune Road,
Eighth Street and NW
Seventh Street.
Points of interest in
the West Flagler area
include Miami-Dade
County Auditorium.
Opened in 1951, has a
splendid history as
Greater Miami's premier
performing arts center
for grand opera,
symphony, theater,
concerts, ballets,
lectures and other
programs of community
interest. Designed as a
multi-purpose facility,
this acoustically
excellent 2,429 seat
theater, offering
unparalleled sight
lines, can accommodate a
broad range of
entertainment.
Miami’s Flagler Dog
Track and Sports
Entertainment Center is
one of the city’s many
sporting and
entertainment
attractions. Highlights
include greyhound
racing, an open-air
stadium seating over
7,000 people, game room,
clubhouse, and sports
bar. The Miami greyhound
racing season runs from
June to November, and
there is a flea market
nearly every weekend of
the year.
