Vision Statement
“NETs need to become direct points of contact
between citizens and government. Anyone should be
able to walk into a NET office and be greeted by
professional and courteous city employees, obtain
answers to their questions and help with city
services. NETs need to engage the neighborhoods they
represent in a pro-active way, serving also to
disseminate knowledge about city programs designed
TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE for all of our
neighborhoods.” |

Goals /
Objectives :
-
To modify the
organizational structure and operation of
NET to better reflect the department’s
mission: to improve quality of life in the
City of Miami.
-
To engage neighborhood
organizations and residents in a process of
planning, goal-setting, and collaborative
work to improve quality of life at the
neighborhood level.
-
To create and use a
departmental website, Miami TV and other
media to provide residents, businesses and
visitors with information about the NET
areas and neighborhoods in our City.
-
To reinvigorate the
Neighborhood Revitalization Task Force
program and work with other City departments
to expand services to the businesses in our
neighborhood commercial corridors.
