The City of Miami Police Department wishes to announce its application for funding through the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance (JAG) Program FY 2018 Local Solicitation, as reference on the attached. The Department of Justice requires that applicant agencies make their application available to the public to enable citizens and neighborhood or community organizations an opportunity to commend on the agency’s application to the Bureau of Justice Assistance, Office of Justice Programs. The City of Miami Police Department is hereby fulfilling this requirement through this internet posting.

The City of Miami is now on the CityGrader government accountability and feedback platform. CityGrader is a web-based platform that allows residents and others who interact with cities to ‘grade and review’ employees, departments, and jurisdictions. The general public may access CityGrader from any computer, tablet or smartphone with access to the internet. Later this year, CityGrader will also be available at kiosks at City of Miami buildings.
Candidates are needed for the Community Advisory Board that advises the Police Department on strategies and training to improve responsiveness to community concerns and carry out community public safety priorities. It meets monthly, receives public comments, and conveys recommendations to the Police Department.
