Looking for new destinations? Different places to visit? Well look no further, the City of Miami has wonderful, unexpected corners yet to be discovered.
The City of Miami Haitian Bicentennial Committee and the Urban Tour Host have partnered to offer free tours of Little Haiti in commemoration of the Haitian Bicentennial. This rich and historic community is one of Miami’s true gems.
Those joining the walking/bus tour will learn about Haitian culture visiting the local specialty shops, botanicas, learning about Voudou and Haitian cuisine, enjoying art exhibits, and listening to the rhythms of Compas & Racine (Roots) music.
The tours will depart from the Caribbean Marketplace located at 5925 NE 2nd Avenue at 9:30 a.m. This is the first in a series of tours that will be offered throughout the year. Transportation will be provided by Miami-Dade County Transit.
