CITY OF MIAMI OPENS FOR BUSINESS ON WEDNESDAY


(Miami, FL.)— The City of Miami will be open for business on Wednesday, October 26, 2005. All Miami Riverside Center (MRC) employees should report to work as scheduled. As of 3 p.m. Tuesday, City Hall does not have power; however the building appears to be in good condition. If power remains out on Wednesday, employees should report to the MRC Cafeteria and Employee Relations will locate work areas for staff.

NET employees are to report to the Orange Bowl to receive their assignments.

Park’s Operation personnel are to report to the Operations Facility.

Other Park employees, i.e. Recreation, Day Care and Handicap who are in the North District, are to report to Hadley Park, and those in the South District are to report to Shenandoah Park.

Fire Headquarters is without power as of 3 p.m. Tuesday. Fire-Rescue personnel assigned to EOC should report as scheduled. Other staff will receive direction from their Chief should power not return on Wednesday.

The City of Miami Emergency Operating Center (EOC) will also be in operation from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Those employees who have been scheduled to work at the EOC should report at their scheduled hours.

All other operational personnel should report to work as scheduled and as directed by their department management.
