(Miami, FL.)—After clearance from City of Miami Fire Department Life Safety Assessment Teams, Solid Waste crews are beginning to clear major thoroughfares. The Department of Public Works has also deployed crews to begin cutting limbs that are blocking these important roadways. This maneuver, referred to as an “emergency push”, will allow emergency vehicles to travel the roads in response to residents’ emergency calls.

For this initial emergency clean-up effort, crews will be located on Bayshore Drive east towards Mercy Hospital; US1 east towards Coconut Grove; and at the intersection of Coral Way and 12th Avenue.
