SERVICES, EVENTS, AND REGULATIONS |
(Miami, FL.)— The following is an
update on City of Miami as of Friday, October 28, 2005:
●Film Permits
The City of Miami Film Office is open as of Friday, October 28, 2005.
Filming permits are beginning to be issued on a limited basis, depending
on the scope of production requirements. Police and Fire Departments in
the City of Miami are expected to remain on alpha-bravo status in
response to the State of Emergency until further notice. Until
alpha-bravo is lifted, Police and Fire resources will not be available
on an off-duty basis to film and television productions.
Additionally, there has been some storm damage to municipal
infrastructure such as parks, beaches, marinas, golf courses, roads and
sidewalks, and these may not be available to film productions until
repairs are made. The film office is assessing which facilities are open
day by day, and productions are encouraged to contact the offices to
discuss their individual needs. The City of Miami Film Office is
committed to helping our production community restore normal production
operations as soon as possible.
