This page identifies federal holidays observed by the City of Miami. Holiday pay is determined by the provisions of the respective collective bargaining agreements.

Fiscal Year 2011

Following is a list of holidays for Fiscal Year 2010-2011. The City will close all offices on the dates indicated, with the exception of those offices that must render continuous service.

January 17, 2011 Monday Dr. Martin Luther King's Birthday
February 21, 2011 Monday Presidents' Day
May 30, 2011 Monday Memorial Day
July 4, 2011 Monday  Independence Day
September 5, 2011 Monday Labor Day

*IAFF bargaining unit members with the exception of personnel on 40-hour assignments will observe the following holidays on the date(s) listed below. In addition, FOP bargaining unit members with the exception of personnel assigned to administrative positions will observe the following holidays on the date(s) listed below.

*December 25, 2010 Saturday - Christmas Day

**January 1, 2011 Saturday - New Year's Day

In accordance with the City’s collective bargaining agreements and Administrative Policy APM-2-87 Vacation Usage/Carryover/Payoff, vacation usage/carryover requirements must be satisfied consistently with the below listed schedule:
