The Classification & Pay Section is responsible for conducting audits and surveys to insure that all employees are appropriately classified and compensated. All salary matters, City-wide, must go through the Classification & Pay Section, to ensure compliance with certain City of Miami Administrative Policies, the Fair Labor Standards Act and related documents. It is also our responsibility to ensure that the salary ranges for each classification stay current with the market wages.
