Crime Watch Meeting in Flagami with Commissioner Francis Suarez

Improving the quality of life in the District 4 community is one of Commissioner Suarez’s key goals. With the help of the NET team, the local police NRO’s and Commanders, and the community as a while, the District 4 office hosts community meetings on a weekly basis to address and target some of the key issues in the District’s neighborhoods.

Groundbreaking Ceremony Durham Terrace Drainage Improvements Project D-4

Commissioner Suarez is shown holding a Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Capital Improvements Project entitles Durham Terrace Drainage Improvements Project. The project consists of furnishing of street and drainage improvements, landscape beautification, trees, and the replacement of damaged sidewalks.


Silver Bluff Park Ribbon cutting

Commissioner Francis Suarez, District 4, along with area neighbors and city administrators held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Silver Bluff Park. Formerly known as “Golden Arms Mini Park”, the new Silver Bluff Park was transformed from an empty plot of land into a beautiful park that the community can be proud of and enjoy for the years to come.


Ground Breaking

Here, Commissioner Suarez along with various community members is speaking at the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the new Coral Gate Park Community Building. The Capital Improvements project consisted of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment for the construction of a new community building. It also includes a new parking lot, landscaping, demolition of the existing building, and a new playground.


Badia Senior Center - Mother's Day

On Mother’s Day 2011, Commissioner Suarez visited Badia’s Senior Center to personally wish all the mother’s at the center a wonderful Mother’s Day.


Arbor Day

In honor of National Arbor Day, Mayor Tomas Regalado and District 4 Commissioner Francis Suarez, joined by members of Miami’s Consular Corps kicked-off the celebration with a tree planting ceremony. One-hundred trees were planted within a five-block radius in the West Flagler residential area. Local volunteer organizations Citizens for a Better South Florida and Hands on Miami partnered with the City in this initiative to improve the community.

Palmetto Express Project

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Six (Miami-Dade County) and FDOT District Four (Broward County) are working together to implement express lanes along 28 miles of the SR 826/Palmetto Expressway and I-75 corridors from just south of SR 836/Dolphin Expressway in Miami-Dade County to I-595 in Broward County. Little Havana Activities Christmas Celebration

On December 15th, 2011, seniors throughout Miami, came together to celebrate the Christmas spirit at the Miami Dade County Fair and Exposition Center. Commissioner Francis Suarez was present to help celebrate this festive time of year. Participants danced, ate, and enjoyed an afternoon of holiday cheer.

On November 17th 2009, Francis X. Suarez was sworn in as Commissioner of District 4, and so began a new era in the sprawling district which runs from 69th Ave. to U.S.1. Prior to running for public office, Commissioner Suarez founded Edge Title Company, Inc., a successful real-estate and mortgage firm. Commissioner Suarez is also an attorney by profession, specializing in real-estate and corporate transactions. He began his law career as an associate at the Miami law firm of Haley Sinagra Paul and Toland, PA., where he focused on commercial litigation matters and general transactional cases. He then went on to serve as general counsel to Doctors Management Group, a private organization, which provides consulting services for those in the medical field. He is also a certified member of the Florida and Federal Bar Associations.
