Multi-Family Affordable Homeownership
The Department of Community Development provides federal, state, and/or local funding to
private developers to build affordable housing units within the limits of the
City of Miami. The City funds a portion of the total cost of the project and in
return the developer provides a pre-determined number of affordable housing
units to be sold to low-to-moderate income
families. The number of affordable housing units
in a project is based on the amount of subsidy
provided by the City. This funding allows
developers to offer city residents with new
homes at lower sales prices.
Multi-Family projects are managed by private developers. If you wish to purchase
one of these affordable housing units, please contact the developer directly.
Also, please refer to the City of Miami’s
First-Time Homebuyer Program webpage for more information on how the
City could further assist you in
obtaining down payment/ closing costs assistance (some restrictions may apply).
