City of
Miami Opens Recruitment for
Police Officer Position, August 22 – September 2
|
(Miami, Florida)—The City of Miami is
currently recruiting for Police Officers starting Monday, August 22
through Friday, September 2, 2005. The City of Miami Police Officers
earn a starting salary of $37, 817 annually, and receive excellent
benefits, pension, training and outstanding promotional opportunities.
A one time FDLE certification of $1648 is to be provided to
probationary employees upon completion of probation regardless when
his/her probation ends.
Applicants should be 19 years of age by September 22, 2005; and they
must present the following documentation: proof of passing score on the
FBAT, CJBAT or FDLE police examination; valid driver’s license from any
state; high school diploma, GED or higher; proof of U.S. citizenship; a
notarized non-smoker’s affidavit; if claiming veteran’s preference, must
bring military discharge papers and a Background Investigation Form
which can be obtained from the City of Miami Employment Office. In
addition, eligible applicants will be required to pass a written, entry
level exam.

Employment Office at 444 SW 2nd Avenue, Room 129, Monday – Friday, from
8am – 5pm, or by downloading from the city’s website.
