-
Dream of homeownership becomes a reality
for two families in Little Haiti-

(Miami, Florida)— City of Miami Mayor Manny Diaz, along with Commissioner Jeffery Allen, Barbara Gomez-Rodriguez, Director of the Department of Community Development, Samuel L. Diller, Executive Director, and representatives of the Little Haiti Housing Association, city administrators, and new homeowners will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for two new homes in Little Haiti on Thursday, November 10, 2005, at 2 p.m., 520 and 528 NE 63 Street.

The two new homes, which are adjacent to one another, each span approximately 1,600-square-feet, and feature four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Priced at $160,000, other amenities in the homes include a tiled common area, carpeted bedrooms, and a paved entryway for two cars. The two new homeowners, Marie Claude Edouard and family, and Rose Belomon and Marc Santilaire, were able to purchase the properties, thanks in part to a commitment of $85,225 in assistance via the City of Miami’s Department of Community Development.
