The Department of Code Enforcement has
been in operation since December 2003 (at that time it separated from
the NET Department). Its mission is to form a partnership with the
people of Miami to promote and maintain a safe and desirable living and
working environment. Code Enforcement Officers and administration have
been involved in a number of quality of life operations, as well as a
Tax Revenue Task Force, all of which have garnered a significant amount
of revenue for the City and have also yielded many arrests and
citations.
