Channel 9 Announces New Programming Schedule

(Miami, FL) - City of Miami
Television, Channel 9, recently announced its new programming
schedule with something of interest for the entire family! The channel
will have a crisp new look and has put together a blend of programs that
are educational, informative and entertaining. City residents will now
be able to access their favorite programs at a regular date and time.
The channel's new lineup includes City of Miami Television original
shows, daily coverage of live and rebroadcast City Commission meetings,
boards and committee meetings, new State and Federal educational
programs, public service announcements, programs tailored for our
Hispanic and Haitian communities and a very special weekend programming,
from 9am to 12 noon, especially designed for children called Kids
Corner.

Getting to Know Your City: An in-depth look at how our City
departments work to serve its residents.
Ask Your Commissioner: City of Miami TV goes to our neighborhoods
and direct its cameras and microphones to our residents while City
Commissioners respond to their questions and concerns.
Rhythm of Miami: Hosted by Didi Skky, the show is about what
makes Miami so unique and keeps our viewers in tune with the latest in
the Miami scene, the arts, exclusive celebrity interviews and
entertainment.
Building Better Neighborhoods: The show focuses on improvements
and infrastructure projects that affect the quality of life in our
neighborhoods.
Kids Corner: Programming includes Shamu TV, NASA Series, McGruff
the Crime Dog, Florida Capitol Adventure, U.S. Constitution and Our
Federal Government.
City of Miami Television, also known as channel 9, is the City of
Miami's municipal government access cable channel. The Office of
Communications operates City of Miami Television, which is accessible
only on the Comcast Cable Network within the City. City of Miami
Television provides a variety of programming for its viewers, 24-hours a
day, seven days a week. Its mission is to provide programming for and
about the City of Miami and its citizens in an effort to educate, inform
and enhance our community; enables the department to reach a large
audience, including its diverse ethnic and cultural communities.
Producing over 380 pieces in 2004, the department strives to provide
accurate and current information about city government and highlight
significant public issues of concern.
