CITY OF MIAMI MAYOR’S
INTERNATIONAL
COUNCIL LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE
|
(Miami, Florida)— City
of Miami Mayor’s International Council recently launched a website
to keep with the Council’s mission to assist and provide support to the
City’s international partners, while helping share the vision of Miami
as a diverse and vibrant metropolis to audiences worldwide.
The website features some of the advantages Miami offers to current and
potential partners such as direct access to the major markets of the
western hemisphere, availability to financial services and foreign
country representation.
As part of Miami’s international outreach, the website also highlights
its Sister City relationships in the Hemisphere, as well as initiating
some in Florida’s emerging international partners, focusing on exploring
trade and business opportunities, in addition to cultural and
educational exchanges.
As Miami’s “Gateway” status continues to grow throughout the Western
Hemisphere, the City is also emerging as one of the most dynamic
commercial, financial and cultural centers in the world. In recent
years, Miami has evolved from a regional hub to a global competitor,
depicted by many as one of the top cities to live and do business in the
world.
The Mayor’s International Council was created in 2003 by Mayor Manny
Díaz to consolidate the City of Miami’s international programs,
including the International Trade Board and the Sister Cities Board.
Commissioner Joe Sanchez is the current chairman of Mayor’s
International Council.
