July 4th, America's Birthday Bash at Bayfront Park sponsored by Kraft

(Miami, Florida)--Celebrate the birth of our great nation at the largest Independence Day celebration in South Florida! Taking place on July 4th at downtown Miami’s Bayfront Park, this FREE event includes a multicultural music concert brought to you by Power 96 and Salsa 98.3 FM, food and drink, and children’s activities. A spectacular fireworks display shot over Biscayne Bay will round out the day.

Power 96 is bringing to the stage some of the most popular, chart topping, hip-hop performers of today, including Akon, Pitbull, and Pretty Ricky. Adding the Latin music flare will be tropical radio station Salsa 98.3 FM, will be presenting salsa music favorites Miles Pena and King Bongo.

In addition, enjoy the antics of Urban Disturbance, the Miami Performing Arts Center's newly minted street theater troupe. This troupe, known for their performances of musical skits, improv sketches, silent plays, and pantomimes, will be roaming the park and delightfully surprising all.

“CLASSIC COMBINATIONS”HEADS SOUTH TO MIAMI

“Milk’s Favorite Jingle Contest” Seeks South Florida’s Newest Singing
 Sensation at America’s Birthday Bash


WHAT: The first-ever “Milk’s Favorite Jingle” Contest will visit Miami in search of a new combination – cookie fans who love to sing.

The contest invites small groups of 2-4 people to put their twist on the traditional “Oreo and Milk” jingle lyrics and perform their rendition LIVE on stage at America’s Birthday Bash. One finalist group will be selected IN MIAMI to compete among a total of ten groups at a finale event in Los Angeles hosted by TV’s Randy “The Dawg” Jackson.

The grand prize winner will receive $10,000 and the chance to record a new Oreo radio commercial.

WHY: Oreo and Milk is a tradition that has brought people together for more than 90 years. Now “Milk’s Favorite Cookie” is taking the tradition to a new level by inviting people to put their twist on the timeless jingle.

WHO: Groups of 2-4 people, all of whom must be ages 7 and up, are eligible to audition
