(Miami, Florida)—The City of Miami Information Technology Departments is pleased to announce the new application that will enable residents and city employees to access, at the touch of their fingertips, detailed information about Zoning, Land Use, Commission Districts, NET Areas, and Flood Zones with the use of an interactive map.

The Zoning application provides a search by Address, Folio, or a Map click and returns results including Primary and Overlay Zoning, Sales Exemptions and property information to the user.

This is the first GIS (Geographic Information System) application created by the Miami GIS Team and is hosted by the City’s new GIS Infrastructure. The GIS Team is planning to incorporate more interactive information in the near future.

In addition, users can also access the new City Address Verification application that informs if an address is registered within the City of Miami.

The new GIS application can be accessed by visiting the city‘s webpage at www.miamigov.com.The feature is in the Business section under E-services. The application can also be accessed at www.miamigis.com.
