Kangaroo Jack at Grapeland Water Park
Celebrate Father's Day with a unique event, an outdoor movie at Grapeland Water Park. Special $5 admission price makes it an affordable family friend event. Doors open at 7.30 and the movie starts at 8pm. See Kangaroo Jack with Dad and relax pool side or cool off in our recreation pool. For more information call (305) 960-2951.

Don't Forget Our After School Programs
Many of our parks offer after school programs, this includes homework assistance, sport league participation, arts and crafts and more.

We have seven parks that run Children’s Trust funded after school programs, these are: Armbrister Park, African Square Park, Juan Pablo Duarte Park, Shenandoah Park, Williams Park and Jose Marti Parks, also our Sand Delucca Developmental Center offers after school programs for children with disabilities. As part of the Children’s Trust program students get extra assistance with reading, math and science skills to help them to improve their performance in school.
At Grapeland Park, Shenandoah Park and Fern Isle Park young ladies interested in playing softball can sign up for our Girl’s Softball League, they will get trained in key softball skills and have the opportunity to play in inter-city and inter-county tournaments.
Contact your local park to find out what sports leagues are available for your child, flag football starts in a few weeks, we also offer t-ball, basketball, swim teams and more throughout the year. Visit out community parks page for listing of all our parks.
Year Round – Kayak at Morningside Park – Grab a paddle and kayak in Biscayne Bay, $5 an hour you can rent a two person or single kayak at Morningside Park, 75- NE 55 Terrace. For the summer time only kayak rentals are available from 7am – 4pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the last rental is at 3pm. Life vests are included in the rental. Fitness
Yes it is hot outside but that is no excuse not to keep up your fitness regimine. Maybe you should mix it up, try something new or just visit a park and try something free!
Join the Hit and Giggle Women's Tennis Group at Moore Park, 765 NW 36 Street. Classes are Saturday morning and include tennis fundamentals and aerobic conditioning, for more information (305) 6637-1061
Also visit Moore Park's track and get your walk on. Get together with a few freinds and stretch your legs, the track is open from sunrise to sunset and it a safe cardio option for getting your excersise.
Hit the water this summer at Morningside Park - Kayak on the weekends for $5 an hour from 9am - 12pm Saturday and Sunday. Morningside Park is located at 750 NE 55 Terrace.
The pool can be your fitness freind this summer. Hadley Pool offers Hip Hop Water Aerobics from 5pm - 7pm and Old School Water Aerobics from 10am - 12pm.
