Mayor Manny Diaz & Commissioner Johnny Winton To Personally Complete The Demolition Of DuPont Plaza

 

--A New Miami Is Ushered In As Symbol of Old Miami Is Razed--

 

January 13, 2005 - (Miami, FL) - January 14th, 2005 will be a historic day as it marks the completed demolition of Miami’s DuPont Plaza. City of Miami Mayor Manny Diaz and Commissioner Johnny Winton will personally operate a crane to tear down the final remaining wall of the ancient building.

 

Mayor Diaz and Commissioner Winton will join developers Ugo Colombo and Diego Lowenstein to take yet another step towards a New Miami by completing the demolition of DuPont Plaza. The complicated demolition began in April 2004.
