City of Miami Supports Cancer Research & Programs through “Taste of Coral Way” Fundraiser at Relay for Life of Shenandoah & The Roads
|
Miami, FL-- The City of Miami, with the support of the Coral Way N.E.T. Office will be showcasing the rich culinary tradition of the restaurants located on Coral Way through its first ever “Taste of Coral Way” event benefitting the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Shenandoah & The Roads.
The American Cancer Society Relay for Life is a Celebration of Life for those touched by cancer and will be held on May 15 from 6:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the next day at Shenandoah Park located at 1800 S.W. 21st Avenue Miami, FL 33145.
“Taste of Coral Way” will take place at the Relay for Life from 6:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15. Several restaurants will be sampling out their signature dishes for neighbors and visitors to enjoy at the 2009 Relay for Life; all proceeds will go to benefit the American Cancer Society’s programs of Research, Education, Advocacy & Service. Confirmed restaurants include: Old Vine & Wines, Ricky Bakery, Tien Kue Inn, Meson Ria De Vigo, El Pub Restaurant, and Alameda Restaurant.
Relay for Life is a unique community celebration that allows individuals from all walks of life to join in the fight against cancer. Last year, more than 3 million Americans participated in Relay for Life events nationwide and more than 500,000 cancer survivors walked the opening laps.
