City of Miami to hold First Safety/Health Fair and A Taste of Little Havana
-Free community event takes place on Saturday, May 9, 2009-

(Miami, FL)- The City of Miami’s Safety Unit of the Department of Risk Management invites the community to attend the first City Safety/Health Fair and A Taste of Little Havana on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at West End Park, from 10:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The event will provide an opportunity for the community to learn about many services available. Among the activities slated for throughout the day include free car seat safety checks, on-site child fingerprinting, martial arts presentations, free blood pressure screening, food tasting, raffles, bounce houses, games for children and more.
The City of Miami Safety/Health Fair and A Taste of Little Havana is sponsored by City of Miami’s Department of Risk Management; Miami Police; Miami Fire-Rescue; Code Enforcement Office; Office of Commissioner Tomas Regalado; Community Blood Center of South Florida; Borinquen Health Care Center; Evercare; Jackson Memorial Hospital; Poison Control; Healthy Start Coalition, United Way of Dade County; Miami-Dade County Department of Health; Florida Highway Patrol; Little Cupcake Stand; Switchboard of Miami, Inc.; Care Source; Florida Power & Light; Pasta Factory; The Village; Epilepsy Foundation of Florida; Frankitude, and Winn-Dixie.
