Join Mayor Manny Diaz’s
Countdown to Earth Hour 2009


-City of Miami Chosen as a Flagship City by
the World Wildlife Fund-

(Miami, FL)-- In celebration of Miami being selected a National Flagship City for the global climate change action initiative, Earth Hour, Mayor Manny Diaz will be turning off the lights at the Bank of America Tower in Downtown during a kick-off event on Thursday, March 26, 2009, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The lights of one of Miami’s signature skyline buildings will go out promptly at 7:50 pm.

The event, which promotes international attention to the threats of climate change, will include music by Big Poppa E & the E band and Green Art designs by Luis Valenzuela. There will also be a preview of the Generation Engage film, Project Switch & Save.
