(Miami, FL)- Bike Miami Days returned to Downtown, Miami, on Saturday, February 21-- this time in conjunction with the Annual Flagler Fest. Bike Miami Days is an event coordinated under the leadership of Mayor Manny Diaz to provide cyclists, skaters and walkers with an easy and fun way to explore the city.

“Our work to make Miami a more bicycle-friendly city has just begun, and every Bike Miami Days event is a great opportunity to promote bicycling,” said Mayor Diaz. “I am happy to report that even in the White House, the Transportation Coordinator has taken note of Bike Miami Days and the importance of dedicating resources to creating more bike paths in our cities.”

Flagler Fest offered several activities including: an antique festival featuring vintage automobiles on display for the Downtown Classic Car Show, historical tours of Flagler Street, and an Arts/ Crafts & Collectibles market. The festival, located on Flagler Street from Biscayne Blvd. to the Miami-Dade Courthouse, was coordinated by the Downtown Miami Partnership.

Bike Miami Days is an initiative by Mayor Diaz to promote bicycling, livable streets and the growing urban neighborhood of Downtown, Miami. The event closes major thoroughfares of Downtown, Miami, so that bikers, skaters, and pedestrians can travel freely and safely. This marks the fourth Bike Miami Days, which have brought thousands of people to the heart of the city.
