The Countdown is on to the “Big Orange” New Year’s Eve Celebration at Bayfront Park

(Miami, FL) Miami’s iconic “Big Orange” is set to rise over the city to welcome in 2009. Miami’s first “Green” Commissioner, Marc D. Sarnoff is helping to lead this year’s event with an environmentally friendly theme.
“Green the American Dream, is a theme that is very close to my heart and I’m very proud that Miami will welcome in the New Year with a focus on making our city one of the most socially responsible in the world,” says Commissioner Sarnoff.
More than 150,000 people are expected at this year’s event with a world-wide television audience into the millions.
A spectacular laser and fireworks show highlight the grand finale as the “Big Orange” reaches the summit of the hotel.
