City to Begin Accepting Applications for Dinner Key Mooring Facility


(Miami, FL.)- The City of Miami’s Department of Public Facilities will begin accepting applications for moorings at their soon-to-be constructed Dinner Key Municipal Mooring Facility on Monday January 5, 2009. Applications will be taken on a first come, first served basis, and may be submitted in person at Dinner Key Marina or through the City’s marinas website www.miami-marinas.com.

The facility, scheduled to open in June, 2009, will accommodate transient and long-term sail and motor vessels up to forty feet length overall, and will offer services and amenities such as a Harbormaster’s Office with customer lounge; restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities; dinghy dock and customer shuttle service to moorings; pump out service; parking; and trash and recycling pickup.
