City of Miami and Miami-Dade County Officials Inaugurate the Moving Wall Veterans Memorial
-Moving Wall will be on Display through Tuesday, November 11-

Miami, FL– City of Miami Mayor Manny Diaz and City Commission Chairman Joe Sanchez today joined Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Alvarez and Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz for the Opening Ceremony of the Moving Wall, a half-size replica of Washington, DC’s Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
The memorial is located. at Bayfront Park, 301 North Biscayne Boulevard, in Downtown Miami by the Mildred & Claude Pepper Fountain. The Moving Wall, which has toured the country for more than twenty years, will be free for residents to view from Friday, November 7, through Veteran’s Day, November 11.
Viewing is free of charge and is open to the public at the following times:
• Friday, November 7, 2008 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. • Saturday, November 8, 2008 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. • Sunday, November 9, 2008 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. • Monday, November 10, 2008 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. • Tuesday, November 11, 2008 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. • Tuesday, November 11, 2008 Closing Ceremony at 5:30 p.m.
