Downtown to Have Increase in Traffic Due to Presidential Candidate’s Rally

-Barack Obama Campaign to Hold Event,
Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 3:45 pm-

(Miami, FL)- Downtown residents, business owners, and patrons should expect an increase in traffic on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, due to a rally for Presidential Candidate Barack Obama at Bicentennial Park, 1075 Biscayne Boulevard. Both Barack and Michelle Obama are scheduled to address the public during the rally.

Doors for the event will open at 3:45 pm and the event is scheduled to begin at 5:45 pm. Due to the amount of people who have been attending these types of rallies across the country, anyone planning to travel in the Downtown area during the span of the event, should expect some traffic delays.

Although there will not be any hard street closures, it is advisable that those individuals either attending the rally or traveling in the Downtown area on Tuesday afternoon take public transportation, if possible,  and give themselves plenty of time to arrive to their destinations.
