City of Miami Encourages Citizens
to Be Election Ready


-Voter Registration Drive to be held starting October 1st-

(Miami, Florida) – In an effort to encourage voting during this historic election year, the City of Miami Capital Improvements Program will be hosting a Voter Registration Drive starting Wednesday, October 1, 2008 thru Friday, October 3, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Miami Riverside Center (MRC Building) lobby, located at 444 SW 2nd Avenue.

On Friday, October 3rd, employees from Miami-Dade County Elections Department will give demonstrations on the use of the new voting machines.

Individuals who have not voted in years may have been deleted from the voter roles and should re-register to ensure their vote is counted.
